Materials

Materials are base ingredients that cannot be broken down into further parts. If they would, they would be called accords.

Solvents

Solvents (carriers, and diluents fall into this category in Performula) are used to dilute materials to reduce their intensity.

Dilutions

Dilutions are built with exactly two items, one material (or accord), and a solvent.

Formulas/accords

Forumlas, or accords (in Performula they are the same) are built up from multiple items (that can be accords, materials, solvents, and dilutions).
